An FPP action adventure game developed with VR in mind. In Journey to Foundation we play as Agent Ward, traversing the outskirts of the galaxy, deciding whether to fight to maintain a collapsing Empire or help create a new cradle for humanity.
Journey to Foundation is an action adventure game based on Foundation, a 1951 novel by Isaac Asimov. It was developed by Archiact (a studio responsible for Evasion and co-development of Doom 3: VR Edition) with VR in mind.
Plot
Journey to Foundation takes place in a sci-fi universe ruled by the vast Galactic Empire. As Agent Ward, we are sent to the edge of the galaxy and tasked with infiltrating a group of deserters. Things take a turn for more complicated once we learn about the predictions of scientists led by Hari Seldon. Leading the titular Foudnation, they foresee the imminent collapse of the Empire and an upcoming age of chaos that is to last 30 millenia. It's up to the player whether Ward will join the Foundation and help it create a new cradle for humanity or fight for the Empire's survival.
Mechanics
The gameplay of Journey to Foundation is shown from the first-person perspective. The player must complete quests, talk to numerous characters and make choices, affecting their own fate and the fate of the entire universe.
Throughout the game we make use of skills letting us see emotions of the people we talk to and manipulate them to our own advantage. From time to time we'll also operate in a disguise, hack security system or face off against enemies.
Technical aspects
The visuals of Journey to Foundation are colorful and appealing, making use of a slightly cartoonish artstyle.

Duuro Magazine:
Throught this review, I use the word "OK" to describe a lot of the elements of Journey To Foundation and that's it, this game is just OK.
COGconnected: 75 / 100 by Lou Sytsma
However, if you are into good storytelling, with a detailed back story, good voice acting, and are patient with the story to kick in; Journey to Foundation is the ticket. The game should take between six to eight hours to complete if you focus on pushing through the story. However, if you stop to peruse the encyclopedia it will extend your play through time.
GamesCreed: 4.2 / 5 by Juan Carlos Ortiz
Journey To Foundation is an interesting ride through an alternate future of the galaxy. The story is large in scope, and every Chapter takes a fair amount of time to complete. No level goes by quickly, even with movement set to teleport. It would admittedly be a little boring if the levels go by too quickly. As the chapters in Journey Foundation are about an hour each, you’ll want to invest in a backup power supply if you want to play in one go. It is a great game with an immersive story, but you’ll want to give yourself a break occasionally. It is definitely worth a shot if you’re a fan of arcade shooters and VR shooters in general.
