Ready for Take off: A320 Simulator for PC is a flight simulator developed by ExVire and SimWare, a Belgian company specializing in aircraft simulators.
Mechanics
In essence, Ready for Take off: A320 Simulator is a typical -run-of-the-mill- flight simulator. Our mission is to pilot two machines – Airbus A320, a middle range airliner, and Beechcraft Baron, a light, twin-engine piston aircraft. Both machines offer an individual set of challenges which are also customized to suit the needs of less experienced players – the game offers an extensive tutorial and a number of customizable options that can simplify certain aspects of the game.
Nevertheless, the features stated above are completely optional, as Ready for Take off is a title dedicated to more seasoned fans of the genre – each aircraft sports a faithfully recreated cockpit, full of monitors, handles and switches. The player can experience a believable day and night cycle and has to respond to the incoming radio dispatches, which make for a much more atmospheric playtime.
Game Modes
Ready for Take off: A320 Simulator offers an extensive world with a number of authentic airports/cities, including Hamburg, Dusseldorf, Zurich, Paris, London, Nice, Kos, Palma de Mallorca, or Antalya. When it comes to actual game modes, we are left with a career mode, random flight mode, and an extensive tutorial.
Technical Aspects
When it comes to graphics, Ready for Take off: A320 Simulator is rather unappealing when compared with other flight simulators on the market, yet the developers managed to introduce some degree of realism and variety – the game offers faithfully recreated airplanes and airports, the cockpit is fully animated, and we have three different camera views to choose from.
