An unusual combination of a stealth game, a third person beat'em up and a dungeon crawler. Raw Metal offers a sci-fi world in which we explore the mining complex called Katabase 6. Our character steals various items and learns the secrets of the hostile megacorporation.

Raw Metal is an action adventure game that combines elements of stealth, dungeon crawlers and beat'em ups. The game represents the sci-fi genre and features comic book graphic design. Its creation is the responsibility of the independent, five-person studio Team Crucible.

Plot

The action of the game takes place on Charybdis - a planet outside the solar system, where there is a huge mining facility called Katabase 6. In the game, we play the character of a looter committing daring thefts in the complex. Over time, we discover the worst secrets of the object's owner, namely the depraved megacorporation Orpheus Tech.

Gameplay

Raw Metal is a game in which most of the time we observe the hero from a top-down perspective. The key element of the gameplay is the exploration of successive levels of Katabase 6. On each of them, we try to check all the rooms, as well as rob them of items or access cards. We try to carry out the operation secretly, so we move quietly and stay in the darkest areas. We also avoid cameras and turn off light sources.

At every stage we encounter the local security. We distract the guards with sound decoys, and we try to attack individual enemies by surprise, which gives us an advantage in the fight. After initiating the fight, the view changes - the perspective gets closer, and we observe the action from a camera suspended at the character's height. During battles, we use quick or strong attacks, dodges, and gadgets (including arrows used to paralyze enemies). In case of fighting with several opponents, we try to manage the duel in such a way as to hit many of them or to make them direct their attacks at their own companions. We will also have to face three bosses.

In Raw Metal, we can find over fifty pieces of equipment, including gloves, armor and helmets. Some of them will provide us with bonuses to skills or accumulated loot. We can improve each of the items thanks to the collected scrap.
