Rage in Peace is a two-dimensional platformer, full of black humor, in which we try to escape death... to die in our own home. The production is characterized by an interesting graphics design and a high level of brutality. The independent Rolling Glory Jam studio is responsible for its creation.

Plot

One day a gloomy mower appears in front of Timmy with the news that the man is going to die today. The cause of death is to be... decapitation. Death, however, does not determine when, where, or what kills Timmy, thus giving him the last chance to fulfill his unusual dream – to leave in peace, pajamas, and the privacy of his own home.

Mechanics

In Rage in Peace we lead a hero, whom we observe from the side, from the so-called side-scroll perspective. Numerous threats await Timmy: almost every element of the board – from frozen puddles to flowers, to barbed traps – can be the cause of his death. Our task is to avoid all dangers by remembering what is attacking us and when, and to make skillful jumps at the right moments.

Rage in Peace has a single player mode only.

Technical aspects

Rage in Peace is characterized by a nice, two-dimensional graphic setting (a style reminiscent of a cartoon), which is full of both brutality and black humor. Above all, the nicely animated character of the main character is eye-catching. His deaths are often accompanied by very spectacular blood fountains. The experience is reinforced by a varied, multi-genre soundtrack.
