Quarantine II: Road Warrior

Drake Edgewater, a taxi driver who accidentally joined the Resistance Movement against OmniCorp's brutal policy, failed to get out of Kemo, a city isolated from the world. He was imprisoned, patiently waiting for a chance to escape, and when the first opportunity arose, he did not hesitate for a moment. Moreover, he had no choice because the president of the hated corporation, Torva Yul, swore revenge to him....

Just like in Quarantine, Road Warrior will be seated behind the wheel of an armed taxi from the wheels to the roof. However, this game cannot be called a simple cut-off of coupons from the success of the original. The program, which GameTek prepared by itself,contains several interesting improvements.

In Quarantine II: Road Warrior, the motive of earning money and, consequently, the possibility of self-arming and repairing the car was abandoned altogether. Passengers who are being carried order a variety of missions to sabotage operations carried out by enemy OmniCorp. Thanks to this solution, the gameplay became very linear - in the original, the possibility of sabotage action appeared only after transporting a few clients. Despite the lack of freedom offered by Quarantine, Road Warrior is more varied. This is influenced not only by interesting script ideas, but also by the variety of arenas in which we will have to take a taxi. Apart from the city itself, there are also desert areas, villages, airports, factories and other interesting locations. Of course, there was no shortage of exquisite weapons, which we can install on the hood of the car. The game offers many means of extermination that will help us exterminate other vehicles, passers-by, as well as criminals and OmniCorp employees. The program hasn't lost anything on brutality - blood flows with every man falling under the wheels of a murderous taxi.

The visual setting has been significantly improved. In addition to the standard VGA mode, Road Warrior also offers enhanced screen resolution that sharpens both the taxi's dashboard and the terrain seen through the glass. The authors also introduced a few external views of the action of the game and the ability to look inside the car and check how the passenger reacts to our actions.
