PVKK: Planetenverteidigungskanonenkommandant is a simulator with a FPP camera, which allows us to feel like a commander and operator of a planetary defense cannon. The game was developed by the German studio Bippinbits - they're also the creators of Dome Keeper.

Plot

The game takes place inside a defensive bunker of an autocratic regime during an ongoing alien invasion on Earth. Our goal is the successive destruction of enemy targets in accordance with received orders. We must perform our work precisely and efficiently, as the regime is not inclined to provide us with additional supplies.

However, with each passing day, the information coming in through the radio begins to change our perspective on what we do and who we work for.

Gameplay

The key element of the gameplay is operating the cannon and firing projectiles. To do this, we use a retro-style cockpit full of various buttons, levers and switches.

Due to the prevailing regime, resources are limited. For this reason, before firing a shot, we should scan the sky in search of enemies. Next, our task is to calculate the trajectory of the projectile and, by managing the energy generators, deliver a precise and deadly shot.

Between missions, we have the opportunity to upgrade and repair the bunker and cockpit to best prepare for the next attack.

Over time we also discover that not everything is as it seems to us and it's part of the main plot. This leads us to solving puzzles, finding clues, and exploring the entire bunker.
