The game takes place in the village of Utaka, a half-open location, where you can meet NPCs, receive quests, etc.

The plot of the game refers to the Japanese mythology and focuses on the war waged with demons called Oni, which crawled out from under the ground and took over most of human settlements. Players take on the role of elite warriors, called to fight against the spreading evil. Gameplay boils down to exploration and conversations with NPCs who give us further tasks.

Denam Pavel is the primary protagonist in Tactics Ogre. He is the son of Abuna Prancet, and after Prancet was taken away by the Dark Knights and his home town was massacred, Denam, his sister Catiua, and his friend Vyce plan a vendetta against the Dark Knights.

Black & White Creatures is another strategy that deals with the fight between good and evil. This item comes from Lionhead Studios and is a console version of the Black & White series of personal computers. The action takes place in real time and the user becomes a god, deciding whether the inhabitants of the surrounding villages should love him or hate him.
