Priest Simulator is a humorous simulation game, in which the player plays a clergyman. A typical day of a priest consists of, among other things, preaching, exorcisms, administering sacraments for a fee, and fighting against evil in its broadest sense.

Plot
Mechanics

Priest Simulator is the second project of the Delirma studio, after using practically identical themes found in Priest (to avoid mistakes, the developers decided to change the title of the first game to Faither). The publisher is Ultimate Games, a company closely associated with PlayWay, which publishes other "strange simulators".

Plot

The rudimentary plot focuses on a priest in charge of a provincial parish. The tasks assigned to the player lead them through the daily affairs of the "most privileged person in the whole village". Our character is not that holy - he often has behaviors that aren't suitable for a person of his status. As if that wasn't enough, the clergyman has acctual supernatural powers, which he can use both to fight Satan and to annoy the faithful.

Mechanics

Priest Simulator, played in a first person perspective mode, can be considered as one of the absurd simulators, i.e. parody games, trying to imitate more and more avant-garde professions and existence (for example, Goat Simulator). The title gives us a rather small open world with a few key locations. The overall composition of the game is a bit similar to Postal 2.

The mechanics of the game are based on various activities prepared for the titular priest. He can celebrate masses for the local people (often after a drinking), give sacraments (after getting paid enough), visit homes (taking everything that is not hold with nails), collect donations for the modernization of the church (a new distillery on the sacristy), perform exorcism, destroy sects, fight with Satan or other priests by using superpowers, buy better parts for the car or get more weapons "to fight demons" (e.g. a flame thrower).
