Bum Simulator is a humorous PC simulation game about the life of a modern bum. It was developed by Ragged Games and published by PlayWay.

Plot

We play as a resident of an American city, who ends up losing everything, ending up on the streets.

From that point on, the player can decide how the protagonist's life goes. We can accept the life of a bum, search for a job, take revenge on those responsible for our misery or become the city's local legend.

Mechanics

Despite its title, Bum Simulator completely disregards realism. The game aims to be a fun, arcade sandbox that doesn't take itself seriously.

The events are shown from the first-person perspective. The world is open and freely explorable, filled with interesting characters and optional activities. The gameplay mostly revolves around survival, which can be done by using the player character's hobo powers. We can also beg, collect cans, create cardboard shelters, train pigeons and learn the mysteries of alcohol alchemy.

All this is presented in a humorous way. Our objectives during the campaign vary, one of the quests, for example, tasking us with solving the mystery of sewer-dwelling rat people.
