Prehistorian is a typical arcade game, in which we play the role of a caveman, whose main goal is to find food, necessary for the further existence of the prehistoric community.

The game was divided into several boards. In the upper part of the screen there is a bar that shows the current amount of food obtained. In order to complete a stage, it is necessary to fill in the whole stage, but this is not the only problem that the player will encounter during his journey, it is also necessary to fit in a limited period of time. Our hero has three lives and a certain amount of energy, which disappears after contact with creatures inhabiting the land. Luckily, the caveman is not completely defenceless and will often have to use the services of a reliable mace. It is worth remembering that enemies stunned in this way can also be counted as food.

Prehistorian is a very difficult game. The perch is short and you have to hit your opponents precisely, taking care not to be hit by yourself, moreover, our hero can not show off too high jump, which makes it difficult to overcome obstacles, such as spikes or bonfires. There is a lot of food and it is usually possible to collect the desired amount of food before the end of the stage, if you visit the surrounding caves. Just remember that any deviation from the course can cost you valuable time. Colourful graphics in low resolution are nice and legible, but nothing good can be said about the sound effects, because they simply do not exist. Another drawback of the program is the lack of any scrolling, and in platform games the thing is unforgivable. Many times you can meet in situations where after leaving the screen you suddenly appear in a new one, by the way stumbling over a monster that cannot be missed in any way. There is also no option to record the state of the game, or even codes that would not force the player to wander from the very beginning.
