Polskie Derby

Created as a result of British-Polish cooperation between IncaGold and OniMedia, the game Polish Derby is a proposal for lovers of fast driving with classic cars from the communist era, who do not expect graphic fireworks or high realism of fun.

The player plays the role of a driver participating in illegal night races through the streets of Polish cities. The creators have prepared a total of 30 routes on which you can show off the extraordinary skills of driving cars such as Trabant, Mermaid or Warsaw, as well as their stunted versions.

The game offers three play modes. The main campaign allows you to take part in a full cycle of struggles of the best drivers on the Vistula. A single race, in turn, allows you to test your strength on any route of your choice. For lovers of competition with a living opponent there is a multiplayer option based on the Internet or LAN.

The driving physics used in the game has a strictly arcade character. Developers, however, have tempted themselves with solutions such as a partial model of destruction. Players can damage their vehicles by colliding with other players, although it is impossible to collision with elements of the environment, for example.

Technically, Polskie Derby uses a modified 3DGE engine, which was previously used in such productions as Midnight Racing and Hot Wired. It allows, among other things, to observe the action from 10 different camera shots. The quality of the generated graphics (including the smoothness of animation and the level of texture detail), however, leaves no doubt about the low-budget character of the title. The competition on racing tracks is accompanied by a dynamic soundtrack.
