A first-person simulation game filled with a lot of humour. Polish Simulator allows to play as a stereotypical Pole, trying to avoid work, have more free time and make his neighbor's life a living hell. There are various tasks for us to complete, including vandalizing the neighbor's car or winning a drinking competition.
Polish Simulator, released in Poland under the folksy sounding title Janusz Simulator, is a humorous simulation game that allows us to taste the charms of life of the titular man named Janusz, who is a stereotypical Pole. The game was developed by the Simplicity Games team from Poland, which has in its portfolio such projects as Politics: The Game and Ski Jump Challenge 2024.
Story
The story told in Polish Simulator is not particularly ambitious. During the game we take on the role of a man living in Poland. The protagonist lives day by day, looking for a way to avoid work, have as much free time as possible, and at the same time make his neighbor's life miserable, because after all, this "thief" is not allowed to have a better life. It's on us that our character achieves his goals.
Gameplay
In Polish Simulator we watch the action from the first-person perspective (FPP). The gameplay revolves around tasks set before us. They require things like "outdrinking" our brother-in-law, catching as many fish as possible, destroying the neighbor's brand new car, or hunting for deals in the department store.
Individual goals can be achieved in various ways. For example, the aforementioned car can be painted with spray paint, we can pump one of its tires until it explodes, or even pull it out of the garage and scatter grain around it, enticing local birds to use it as a feeding station and toilet at the same time. On the other hand, we can fish like an amateur, using a fishing rod, or use a firecracker for this purpose.
Some paths leading to the accomplishment of a given task are initially hidden from us, which forces us to improvise. In some cases, we must make an effort not to get caught red-handed. Sometimes missions also turn into a kind of race against time. This happens, for example, when there are still 30 seconds left until the supermarket closes, and our basket is not yet filled to the brim with promotional products.
