Photographs Description
Photographs is an unusual puzzle game, which combines a complex storyline with quite accessible riddles. The production was created by Luca Redwood, a developer well-known for titles such as Smarter Than You and You Must Build A Boat.
Story
Released on PC, iOS and AND, the game Photographs presents five different story arcs, which merge into one tragic and dark story.
Mechanics
Although it is formally a puzzle game that offers players the chance to solve puzzles of an increasing difficulty, in reality Photographs focuses primarily on the story. The game revolves around analyzing photographs and dioramas (these are specific compositions, which refer to the subject matter of an event or an idea) and discovering hints on them, which will allow you to cope with a given challenge and discover another detail of the plot.
Technical issues
The Photographs game for the PC, iOS and AND is characterized by a simple, colorful graphics design, made in a retro style. Octavi Navarro (also known as Pixelshush, he worked, e.g. on Thimbleweed Park) is responsible for the artistic layer of the title, and the soundtrack was composed by Ben Prunty (FTL, Gravity Ghost, Into the Breach, Dead Secret).
