Philosoma PS1
Arcade shooter released exclusively for PlayStation 1. A unique feature of Epics Inc. production is the changing perspective during play. As a result, Philosoma is sometimes a bird's eye view or isometric view shooter, and sometimes a side-scrolled shoot up.

Deeveloped by Epics Inc., Philosoma is an arcade shooter and one of the first titles that appeared on the PS1 console. The title is distinguished above all by the dynamically changing perspective during the game.
Story
The world of the future. Humanity, thanks to the developed technology, travels around the universe and establishes bases on other planets. One of the recently established colonies is a victim of an unexpected attack by an alien civilization. Special Forces are sent to the place, but the unit soon goes silent. Their only hope is the rookie pilot D3 and the leader of Charlie unit, Nicolas Michau, who fly modern star fighters F/A-37 Strega. During the mission, they make a shocking discovery...
Mechanics
Philosoma is based on the formula typical for the shoot'em up games. Players take control of a spacecraft that flies in a fixed direction. Their task is to eliminate all the opponents they encounter, as well as survive under enemy fire. The fighter is equipped with several types of weapons with different characteristics, which can be boosted with collected power-ups.
The element that distinguishes the game from Epics Inc. from its competitors is the dynamically changing perspective. During the mission, the players must react quickly to changes in the camera and perspective, which shows the action from the side, from above or in isometric projection.
Technical aspects
Philosoma is a three-dimensional arcade game in which ship models and maps have been prepared in 3D. The title features FMV inserts, which present subsequent story threads.
