Pathfinder: Kingmaker - Varnhold's Lot

Mechanics

Pathfinder: Kingmaker - Varnhold's Lot is very similar to what players grew familiar with in the base game.It is an RPG game, in which the action is shown from the top-down perspective. The player leads a whole team of daredevils representing different character classes (the game is an adaptation of the tabletop RPG Pathfinder system) and equipped with different skills and gear. The game is mainly about exploration, completing tasks, and fighting foes

The expansion introduces a new, large dungeon called Lostlarn Keep. In this location players will find new types of opponents - e.g. dangerous centaurs from the Nomen clan. Interestingly enough, after completing Pathfinder: Kingmaker - Varnhold's Lot players can get to this place again playing in the main campaign - then they have the opportunity to see the consequences of the choices made in the additional scenario, as well as acquire new pieces of equipment.

The DLC introduces also a new romance theme, which was developed with female characters in mind - Maegar Varn may be the object of our heroine's desire.

Game modes

In Pathfinder: Kingmaker - Varnhold's Lot players can only play alone. The DLC does not introduce any new modes. The basis of the game is a story campaign, which should take 6-12 hours to complete.

Technical aspects

Pathfinder: Kingmaker - Varnhold's Lot has very pleasant to one's eye 3D visuals. The production does not make any corrections in the technical layer of the game and presents itself in the same way as the basic version of the game - also because it largely uses exactly the same textures and models.

It is also worth noting that despite the fact that the campaign presented in the DLC is largely a separate story, the add-on has a non-stand-alonecharacter - it requires a basic version of Pathfinder: Kingmaker to work.
