The main innovation that has been introduced in this part of the game is the important role of commanders. It is their skills and experience that will now depend on the combat capabilities of the units subordinate to us, which currently have the ability to perform several activities during one round.

Every subsequent game in the series is characterized primarily by a significant improvement in graphics. In Panzer General 3D a full 3D view was introduced for the first time, so that the battlefield can be viewed from any side. In addition to these campaigns, 60 additional single missions and multiplayer scenarios have been added to the game. The game can be played by up to 4 people at once on the local network or via the Internet.
