Oxenfree 2: Lost Signals is a sequel to a 2016 indie psychological horror adventure game. The first Oxenfree was the debut game by Night School, a studio founded by former Telltale Games employees.
Plot
Oxenfree 2: Lost Signal is set five years after Oxenfree and stars an entirely new protagonist - Riley, returning to her hometown after a long while. She soon finds Camena has changed a lot during her absense. Riley must discover the secret behind mysterious radio signals which seem to be linked to the unsettling atmosphere in the town.
Mechanics
Like its predecessor, Oxenfree 2: Lost Signal is a 2D adventure game, tasking us with traversing different locations, talking to NPCs and quickly choosing dialogue options before the conversation proceeds without us. To solve puzzles, we must interact with on-screen objects and change the frequency on our portable radio.
Technical aspects
The visuals of Oxenfree 2: Lost Signals don't differ much from those in the first installment. 2D locations are combined with 3D character models, while the use of special filters compliment the horror atmosphere.
