Overthrown

Overthrown is a production on the borderline of action games and city builders?w. The production was developed by the independent Brimstone studio, while its release was handled by Maximum Entertainment.

Storyline

The action of Overthrown takes place in a fantastic land. During the gameplay we play the role of the ruler, whose task is to create a prosperous kingdom from scratch and defend it against mutants and bandits. At the same time we are not condemned to a lonely crossing, because having an ancient crown that steals souls and provides supernatural abilities, we can count on the help of allies and subjects.

Gameplay

Exploration, construction and management of the kingdom

In Overthrown , we view events from a third-person perspective (TPP). During the game, our main job is to manage and develop the kingdom. As we move through the countryside, we gather resources, which are used primarily to construct buildings. An important role here is also played by the creation of production chains (for example, the wood we acquire must be turned into planks in the sawmill to be used in construction), as well as the cultivation of land (in order not to deplete the latter, we should locate industrial facilities away from the p?l).

Although initially we do all this on our own, as we progress, we are joined by subjects to whom we can delegate duties, gradually automating further processes. In doing so, we must pay attention to the level of satisfaction of our people and fulfill their whims if necessary; otherwise, we run the risk that they will decide to join the outlaws or even spr?bt a coup d'état.

Throwing objects and fighting

Our character has superhuman strength and uses it to, among other things, move buildings and other objects; although there is nothing to prevent us from transporting trees from the forest to the sawmill and throwing them into it, we can just as well take the sawmill to the forest to deal with the production of boards on the spot. In addition, our ruler (or ruleress) can, among other things, run on water or soar through the air.

We can also use our great strength to deal with enemies; by moving the mutant's lair near the bandits' hideout, we will drive the enemies against each other. In addition, battles occur regularly during play. Skirmishes are dynamic, and during them we face hoards of enemies, using white weapons or throwing everything we can at them.

Coop

Overthrown allows for single player gameplay, but spreads its wings in cooperative mode for up to 6 players.
