Overpass

Overpass is a racing game in which players participate in off-road races featuring extreme conditions and on tracks designed to be challenging for both the vehicle and the driver. The game uses realistic vehicles physics system a and realistic vehicle handling model, in which one mistake can decide the fate of the entire game. The game was developed by Zordix Racing and published by Bigben Interactive (known, among others, for the WRC rally series).

Mechanics

Overpass is a racing game, in which the player's task is to overcome various debris, steep slopes, wetlands, as well as specially prepared tracks filled with tree trunks. They do this by driving a tailor-made vehicle - an off-road buggy or a quad. The game delivers several dozen machines from well-known manufacturers, such as Arctic Cat, Suzuki and Yamaha.

The game is based on a realistic driving model and an advanced physics engine that makes each race a challenge, with each vehicle differing in terms of handling. During the game, it is necessary not only to take care of the speed, but also to pay attention to the damage, as well as clever road planning. Players get at their disposal several dozen different routes located in six places.

Selecting of the right vehicle for a given challenge is also very important. Players must take into account issues such as acceleration, power, suspension, etc. Each vehicle can decide about one's success or failure.

Game modes

Overpass can be played either alone or with others - via online or local multiplayer mode. Single player fans have a campaign at their disposal to not only race, but also manage their vehicles and fight for sponsors - all in order to finish the season at the highest ranking position.

Technical aspects

Overpass features quite attractive, 3D visuals. Although Zordix Racing's game is slightly different from the leading representatives of the racing games genre (e.g. Forza Motorsport or Project Cars), the creators have made every effort to reliably reproduce both the vehicles and the varied tracks.
