Overkill 3 is another installment of the mobile third-person shooter game series. The game takes place in an unspecified future where soldiers use state-of-the-art technologies like heavy duty nanosuits, drones, armed jeeps and powerful, spider-like, combat robots. We play as a civilian who fights for the resistance and uses the same military technology.

Chaos Rings is a Japanese RPG released on Android. It was developed by Media Vision studio (known from the popular Wild Arms series) and released by Square Enix.

Story

Chaos Rings takes place in a mysterious and dangerous location known as the Ark. This place was created to enable mankind to defeat a being named Qualia, whose purpose is to destroy all reality, not only its own but also all parallel worlds.

Unfortunately, among the inhabitants of the Earth there is no one who could cope with this task. That is why the builders of the Ark in despair drew up a crazy plan. Their technology enables you to 'catch' characters from any period in the past, as well as from any alternative world. This is how groups of the greatest warriors are created, who are then tested in labyrinths. In the end, only two survive - a man and a woman. This couple is then sent into the distant past of the Earth, becoming the ancestors of the entire civilization. At the beginning of Chaos Rings action, this process had already been repeated more than twice as many times, and each repetition made the human race a little bit stronger.

Chaos Rings campaign is about four such pairs, which are to go through the last cycle and eventually defeat Qualia. Each of these eight characters has its own tragic biography, which we get to know while playing.

Mechanics

In terms of gameplay mechanisms, Chaos Rings is a classic dungeon crawler and the gameplay consists mainly of exploring a team of two full of monsters and traps underground. At the end of each stage a powerful boss awaits you. During skirmishes we use an extensive turn-based combat system, enabling us to use numerous special skills and spells.

Winnings are rewarded with experience points, which we spend on purchasing improvements in-hero statistics.

Technical aspects

Chaos Rings offers a visuals that combines two-dimensional prerendered backgrounds with full 3D characters. On the release day, the game had no recorded voices of characters and these were added in a later update. Until now, they are only available in Japanese.
