OPUS: Rocket of Whispers Description
OPUS: Rocket of Whispers is an adventure game developed by the independent Thai studio Sigono - the team has received a warm welcome for their previous work OPUS: The Day We Found Earth.
Story
OPUS: Rocket of Whispers takes place in a universe created for the needs of the aforementioned OPUS: The Day We Found Earth. In the distant future mankind spreads into the farthest corners of the galaxy. The player lands on the surface of one of the planets, the inhabitants of which hold unusual funerals for their dead, as their bodies are loaded to rockets sent to the interstellar space. When most of the world's population fell victim to a mysterious plague that spared only the two main characters, Fei and John, the protagonists attempted to construct the last rocket - its task is to take the remains of their loved ones to the stars.
Mechanics
In OPUS: Rocket of Whispers the action we observe from a top-down perspective. The main task in the game is the exploration of a snow-covered realm filled with ruins and various remnants of the former splendor and prosperity enjoyed by the planet's inhabitants.
Our primary goal is to collect the elements necessary to build a space vehicle, used by Fei to construct subsequent components of the rocket - over a hundred objects await discovery, each of which has been endowed with a unique history. Conversations with Fei also play an important role in a way that is reminiscent of a visual novel.
Technical aspects
Two-dimensional visuals of OPUS: Rocket of Whispers adopt a cartoonish style, so you can enjoy them despite their simplicity. The game is complemented by an atmospheric soundtrack, which consists of over seventy pieces composed by Triodust - the author of music for OPUS: The Day We Found Earth.
