OpenTTD is a free fan-made version of Transport Tycoon Deluxe, an economic strategy game from 1994. It was developed and published by the OpenTTD Team. The game has an open source code so anyone who is interested can make their own modifications.

Mechanics

OpenTTD is a classic economic strategy with an isometric view, which focuses on expanding your own transport company and keeping its financial stability. At the start, the player chooses the land where he will run his business. Each map differs in terrain and the location of cities and industrial plants.

During the game, you can build roads, railways, stations, docks and airports. Thanks to this you can provide cities and factories with free access to passenger and cargo transport. All of the player's decisions regarding the routes have an impact on the entire land and its development (e.g. cities without supplies of goods will stop growing).
