Compilation of two OlliOlli arcade games. In OlliOlli: Switch Stance awaits you to visit a total of one hundred levels located in ten different worlds, and the gameplay consists of performing breakneck tricks on a skateboard.
OlliOlli: Switch Stance is a compilation containing two parts of the OlliOlli series, namely OlliOlli and OlliOlli 2: Welcome to Olliwood. The title was developed by the authors of the original game - independent studio Roll7, whose portfolio also includes such productions as Not a Hero and Laser League.
Mechanics
The arcade games included in OlliOlli: Switch Stance show the action from the side. During the game we play as a skater that constantly rides to the right and performs risky tricks. A total of one hundred levels located in ten different worlds await us in the game. While in the first part of the series we are polishing our skills on the streets, the continuation takes us on a journey to places related to the film industry.
At each stage, filled with obstacles (such as barriers, benches, crates or fences), ramps and alternative paths (the latter can only be found in the sequel), a total of five hundred challenges of increasing difficulty await us. It is worth noting that OlliOlli 2: Welcome to Olliwood extends the list of one hundred and twenty tricks from the original, with a number of special evolutions unavailable in the first part of the series. In addition, the devss have improved the combo system, in which we combine successive tricks, smoothly transitioning from one trick to another.
Game modes
The games included in OlliOlli: Switch Stance feature different gameplay variants. In addition to the Daily Grind, Spots Mode and RAD Mode (which requires the completion of all challenges to unlock), the second installment of the series adds the Combo Rush multiplayer game, where a maximum of four players fight to score as many points as possible.
Technical aspects
Two-dimensional graphics of both games included in OlliOlli: Switch Stance are maintained in a retro style, evoking associations with the 16-era gaming.
