A free-to-play MMORPG with an open world, inspired by the Norse mythology. Odin: Valhalla Rising allows us to play as a character from one of several different classes. We can explore the lands, complete various quests and engage in battles with opponents.

Game modes

Odin: Valhalla Rising is an MMORPG, distributed in a free-to-play model with microtransactions. It was developed by the South Korean Lionheart Studio. The action of this game is set in a universe inspired by Norse mythology, and it allows us to embody a character whose task is to prevent Ragnarok. It is the twilight of the gods looming on the horizon.

Gameplay

In Odin: Valhalla Rising events are viewed from a third-person perspective (TPP).

Game world and exploration

The game gives us access to an open world, which we can freely explore on foot or on the back of one of the mounts (moving both on land and in the air). We have access to such lands known from Norse mythology as Midgard (inhabited by humans), Jotunheim (the kingdom of giants called Jotuns), Nidavellir (the domain of dwarves and gnomes) or Alfheim (the home of elves).

While traversing these locations, we complete quests, interact with other players, and also engage in battles with opponents. Raids are the most exciting battles, in which powerful bosses are waiting to be defeated.

Character classes

We take on the role of a character representing one of the classes differentiated in terms of fighting style, preferred weapons, and strengths and weaknesses. As a warrior we can fight on the front line, as a rogue it's better to keep a distance, when playing as a sorceress we master the magic of elements, while as a priestess we focus on healing and strengthening allies.
