Ocean Trader is an extensive economic strategy, in which the player is at the forefront of the company providing services in maritime trade. As with many programs of this type, your task is to increase capital through efficient freight transport. Of course, it should be remembered that the competition is not asleep.

The action of the game begins in 1995, i.e. in our modern times. For a good day we receive a small ship, a certain amount of cash and a completely free hand in taking further actions. The key to success is to find the best possible trade routes: in one port we buy goods at a lower price and try to sell them where they are needed. We use the money earned in this way to invest in new units that can flow faster and carry more. It is worth noting that further ships can be designed according to your own vision, choosing from the list of parameters we are interested in.

One hundred ports scattered all over the world and thirty-two goods that we can transport should satisfy even the biggest malcontents. In addition, there is the possibility of special courses, which are more cost-effective, but with the transport of cargo you have to meet the specified deadline. A big advantage of the game is its realism. If you run out of fuel at sea, you will have to use the services of a tugboat, which for an appropriate (read. salty) fee, will take you to the port. If we encounter a storm during a sea voyage, we can seriously damage our unit or lose it at all. Players will also have to remember about such "little things" as channel fees, United Nations embargoes or quarantine.

Ocean Trader gives a very pleasant impression, not only in terms of content, but also visually (high-resolution graphics). The medium complexity and simplicity of use should attract enthusiasts of economic simulations as well as complete amateurs to the monitor for long hours.
