NosTale is an free-to-play MMORPG with micropayments. It was developed by Entwell and published by Gameforge, also responsible for the iconic OGame. It debuted in South Korea in 2006, while the global release took place three years later.

Plot

NosTale is set in a fantasy world. Once idyllic, the realm is now threatened by forces of evil. We play as heroes trying to stop the darkness and restore balance to the land.

Mechanics

NosTale makes use of the isometric perspective. The player traverses the game world, completes quests and fights encountered enemies. Combat is dynamic, requiring skillful use of our character's abilities. There are numerous classes to choose from, ranging from fighters, archers, mages to more unusual ones. The player can also tame animals which have unique abilities and can provide indispensable support on the battlefield. You can also find a moment of respite in the so-called Mini-land, where you can build your own house, take care of your garden and meet up with friends.

By progressing through the game the player develops their character, learns new abilities and improves already known ones. They also acquire gradually better gear, letting them face greater challenges.
