An improved and extended version of a three-dimensional platformer called Super Lucky's Tale, in which we play the role of a friendly fox trying to save the Book of the Ages from the evil Omen. New Super Lucky's Tale stands out from the original with its new levels; however, the authors have refined almost every aspect of their work.
New Super Lucky's Tale is an improved and expanded version of the 2017's 3D platform game called Super Lucky's Tale. The game was developed by the authors of the original, i.e. Playful Corporation studio.
Plot
The main character of New Super Lucky's Tale is the titular Lucky, a nice fox whose task is to help his sister save the great power of the Book of the Ages from the claws of the sinister Omen, trying to transform the world according to his own vision. Fortunately, the protagonist is not alone - he can count on the support of the lost Yeti, the Kookie Spookies or bugs engaged in agriculture.
Mechanics
In New Super Lucky's Tale, players will travel through picturesque locations filled with obstacles and riddles. The protagonist jumps between platforms, moves objects, climbs, and even digs in the ground, allowing him to discover various secrets. Moreover, there is no shortage of fighting opponents - Omen's children creating the Cat Click. Although most of the time players see the action from behind the protagonist's back, there are also two-dimensional levels inspired by classic side-scroll platformers; their completion gives players valuable prizes.
Technical aspects
New Super Lucky's Tale has colorful and cartoon-like visuals. In comparison to the original, the game stands out due to the presence of completely new stages; in addition, some of the original levels have been redesigned. The authors have improved lighting, cutscenes, dialogues, as well as the user interface, controls and the audio layer.
