It was released on November 21st, 2004 in North America and on March 11, 2005 in Europe. The most characteristic feature of this handheld are two screens (including one touch screen). DS is the second most popular console in the history of gaming industry (right after PlayStation 2). In 2011 it was succeeded by 3DS.
