NBA Live 14 is an attempt to restore the splendor of sports games series devoted to professional basketball made by Electronic Arts and the developer team at EA Tiburon. The production is the first installment of the NBA Live series released after more than a four-year break.

According to the genre’s convention, the players have an opportunity to direct the players of their favorite teams appearing on the parquet of the American NBA league. The game offers several modes, including Rising Star Mode (career), Road to the Playoffs, Slam Dunk Challenge and Ultimate Team. The players can compete against the computer AI or live opponents.

The NBA Live 14 developers’ ambition was to create a qualitative leap in the evolution of the series. From all the new elements, especially noteworthy are, among others, the bouncetech system which allows greater control over the way the ball is bouncing, taking into account realistic physics. Then, thanks to the Courtq technology, the game is connected to the rich system of statistics maintained by Synergy Sports Technology accounting for more than 70 constantly updated indicators concerning the players and the teams playing every day in the NBA.

High quality audiovisual layer of the game is due to a modern engine, Ignite, designed with the technical capabilities of the eighth generation of consoles, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, in mind. The official license of the American National Basketball Association allowed the developers to use the names and the symbols of the NBA teams, and the names and likenesses of the players and authentic sports halls where the basketball events take place.
