NBA 2K21: Arcade Edition is a basketball sports game, a specially developed version of NBA 2K21 created for mobile devices. The game represents the series launched in 2002 and was developed by Visual Concepts, the studio responsible for the development of the series, while 2K Sports released it.
Mechanics
Like the other games in the series, NBA 2K21: Arcade Edition focuses on basketball matches. Thanks to the official license of the NBA league, the game allows us to fight on the court with real players from the 2020-2021 season, led by current stars such as Damian Lillard, Kevin Durant, Steph Curry, Zion Williamson and Anthony Davis. The game can be played using both a touchscreen and a pad.
Game modes
The core of NBA 2K21: Arcade Edition is the MyCAREER mode, in which we have to make our way from basketball beginner to true legend of the sport. Apart from that, there are single matches, which we play on 30 licensed courts or on the so-called Blacktop (street court). In addition to this, the game offers a multiplayer mode, allowing 2 players to compete against each other. Thanks to cross-platform functionality, this one allows to play with users of other devices from Apple's ecosystem.
Technical aspects
The graphics of NBA 2K21: Arcade Edition presents a high level of quality. Especially players rendered with great precision and attention to detail are worth mentioning. In addition, the authors focused on the animations and improved the AI of players.
