Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm CONNECTIONS is a fighting game based on a popular Japanese franchise, known thanks to manga and anime. It was developed by CyberConnect2, the same studio responsible for the previous installments, to commemorate the anime's 20th anniversary.

Plot

The game summarizes the entire rivalry between two ninja - Naruto and Sasuke - from the first chapter of the manga to their final battle.

Mechanics

Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm CONNECTIONS is a fighting game revolving around duels between ninja. Each character has their own unique combat style and their own combos.

The game has the largest playable roster in series history. Most of them are returning characters from previous games, but there are also a few newcomers: namely, Asura and Indra Otsutsuki, two brothers responsible for creating the ninja clans.

Game modes

The game's main attraction is its story mode, adapting the rivalry between Naruto and Sasuke as a series of duels accompanied by numerous animated cutscenes. Many of them originate from the series' previous installments, though Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm CONNECTIONS also offers their enhanced versions. The game also features an additional story mode with an entirely new storyline developed with this game in mind.

The game also offers local and online multiplayer.

Technical aspects

The 3D visuals of Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm CONNECTIONS are appealing, making use of the same artstyle as the anime.
