Mystery Stories: Mountains of Madness is a casual adventure of the kind of "hidden objects", whose plot is based on H.P. Lovecraft's novel "In the mountains of madness". The player's task is to help the two heroes explain what happened in a secluded polar research facility, as well as discover the secrets of an ice-bound, ancient city.

Mystery Stories: Mountains of Madness is the production of the German Cerasus Media studio, specializing in casual games, i.e. occasional players. It combines elements of an adventure with puzzles like "hidden objects" and puzzles.

Mystery Stories: Mountains of Madness is based on H.P. Lovecraft's novel In the Mountains of Madness. The action was set in 1931 in Antarctica. The main protagonists, the polar explorer Professor William Dyer and his assistant Lynn Morgan, set out to find out why her crew has stopped communicating with the world. On the spot they discover that the members of the expedition are dead. However, one of the polar explorers is missing among the bodies. The daredevils decide to cross the mountains to find out what happened to the lost scientist.
