The fifth installment of a series of motorcycle racing games, supervised by Milestone studio. In the MXGP 2019 we take part in the 2019 season, fighting for victory in the MXGP and MX2 classes. Apart from the career mode, the title has a multiplayer mode, a track editor, and a special module in which we improve our skills or challenge other players to duels.
MXGP 2019 is the fifth installment of a series of motocross racing games. This title was developed by the Italian studio Milestone, which is responsible for the series and has both racing games such as Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo and Gravel, as well as bike-related titles (MotoGP, RIDE) in its portfolio.
Mechanics
MXGP 2019 is based on a licence of FIM - Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme. Thanks to that, while fighting for victory in the MXGP and MX2 classes, we compete against all the competitors and teams that participated in the World Championships in the season 2019, as well as playing in the colors of real sponsors or finally ride one of the several dozen real-life motorcycles. Although the driving model developed for the game has an arcade character, it reflects the real bikers' struggle. So we must skillfully balance the athlete's body both before and during jumps, as well as lean in to the corners, which over time create deeper and deeper ruts. Sometimes things are also complicated by changing weather conditions.
Game modes
MXGP 2019 can be played solo or against other players in multiplayer mode. In addition to an extensive career mode, the game offers a track editor that enables us to select one of four biomes (from wet forest to sandy deserts and the French Riviera to jungle), design our own tracks and share them with the community. This is complemented by the Playground mode, where we are taken to an open map and improve our skills, face special challenges or choose our own racing routes and challenge other competitors to duels.
Technical aspects
MXGP 2019 features high quality 3D visuals. Attention is drawn by the carefully designed motorcycles, detailed racing suits and varied routes.
