MotoGP 20 Description
MotoGP 20 is another game in the popular racing series that focuses on motorcycles. Thanks to the cooperation with Dorna Sports S. L., the game is licensed for the Grand Prix motorcycle racing, just like the previous ones. The developers have also introduced several novelties and amendments. It was developed by the Italian studio Milestone, which has been developing the series since the beginning (they have also developed, among others, the WRC and RIDE series).
Mechanics
MotoGP 20 is a racing game in which we sit behind the handlebar of a motorcycle (the perspective from which we observe the road depends on us – we can choose the FPP or TPP mode). The creators of this series have long preferred a high level of realism - it can be seen in the driving model (it requires skill and focus), as well as in the functioning of engines responsible for weather effects and physics.
This time, the developers decided to go even further in their passion for realism. As a result, they introduced the need for fuel management as well as asymmetric tyre wear. We also have a system of damage and breakdowns that affect the appearance and performance of our vehicle. The new feature is the ability to influence the development and plan of the motorcycle - we can supervise the activities of the R&D team ( research & development) and adapt elements such as aerodynamics, electronics, fuel consumption and engine power.
In addition, the developers improved the Neural A.I. artificial intelligence system known from the previous version, which uses machine learning technology. The computer monitors how players work on the tracks and improves his skills (this time it also affects issues related to tyres and fuel consumption).
It is worth noting that the Milestone studios' game allows players to compete in several racing classes known from the real world, such as MotoGP, Moto2, Moto3, and Red Bull. The game also features licensed teams and well-known drivers, as well as realistically modelled routes. The Race Director mode is also back, allowing you to modify the rules governing races.
The functionality of the editor has also been expanded. In MotoGP 20 it allows you to modify both the motorcycle, helmet and the outfit of driver.
Game modes
In MotoGP 20, we can play alone or with others. In addition to single races, we have the opportunity to have fun in the extended career mode, in which we gradually climb upwards, participating in increasingly prestigious competitions. Alternatively, there is the option of becoming the team manager. Historical Challenges mode is also back, but the developers have changed its format a little bit - now it includes randomly generated races that gradually unlock familiar cars and drivers.
In multiplayer mode, we can play within the classic MotoGP eSport Championship module. As in the previous part, the competitions are played on dedicated servers.
Technical aspects
MotoGP 20 has a very nice, three-dimensional graphic design. Thanks to the use of the modern Unreal Engine 4, the creators of Milestone Studio managed to achieve a high level of detail and realism. This applies to models of drivers and motorcycles, but also to the locations where we race.
