Moto Racer Advance is one of the games from the title series of motorcycle races. This version for the Gameboy Advance portable console is in line with its predecessors, released, among others, on personal computers. The game offers an arcade riding model and division into several types of races. Moto Racer Advance is the work of Adeline Software development studio, which should be known to gamers thanks to Little Big Adventure products.
There are several standard fun modes at the player's disposal - fast start, single race or championship, in which he takes part in a series of strictly planned competitions. There is also a multiplayer offering attractions for four players. However, the Progression Mode is definitely the most interesting, playing the role of a kind of career. This mode is based on the tree principle, which is because the player can decide each time in which competitions he would like to take part, thus unblocking further "branches". In total, there are several dozen races to complete. In addition to unlocking new competitions, you also gain access to new skills, sports machines and routes.
Regardless of the fun mode of your choice, there are three types of races. In a motocross race, you sit behind the wheel of an enduro motorcycle, racing in difficult terrain and performing many impressive jumps. GP races are held on professional tracks and the player has the opportunity to test superbike motorcycles. Traffic also assumes racing on asphalt sections, although it is the opening of road sections. It is therefore important to take into account the need to avoid dense traffic. In addition, there are numerous obstacles around the route, including road signs.
Motorcycle control is very simple and only a few buttons are used to play. The fun is enriched by the option of activating a turbocharger known from other games in this series, which may help to move away from the rest of the stakes. The player cannot completely destroy his machine, but going beyond the calculated route is punished by falls, resulting in the loss of many valuable seconds.
Moto Racer Advance is one of the best looking Gameboy Advance games. The player has the opportunity to move in a three-dimensional environment, observing nicely made models of motorcycles. It is also worth paying attention to the pace of the competition.
