Mortal Kombat Advance is one of the first attempts to transfer a cult fight to a portable console model. This time it is GameBoy Advance. It is worth mentioning that the game has been continued on this platform, among others in the form of Mortal Kombat: Tournament Edition or Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance.

This product is largely modelled on Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, which in the opinion of many people is one of the best realized two-dimensional fights. The Ultimate Edition was an extension of the third part of Mortal Kombat, introducing new arenas or previously unavailable players. Several warriors from Mortal Kombat Trilogy also appear in this game. This game was in turn a compilation of all previously released titles. In total, a dozen or so different characters are at the player's disposal. Interestingly, unlike many other battles, in which more warriors are usually unblocked, in this case most of the players are available from the very beginning.

Mortal Kombat Advance offers quite a standard range of gameplay modes. The key point of the program is, of course, an extensive tournament in which we have to beat a dozen or so different players. In the game there was also a multiplayer for four people. It is also worth mentioning that the game has to offer several different levels of difficulty, so that it should satisfy both newcomers and more advanced players alike. Controlling individual characters has been greatly simplified because Nintendo's portable console has a relatively limited number of keys. In particular, this can be seen in the example of complex combinations of blows, which are now done in a much simpler way. The number of finishes has also been reduced. Each character has only one Fatality. Mortal Kombat Advance visual binding is one of the main advantages of this production. The game resembles versions that were created for owners of personal computers.
