Modern Combat 5: Blackout Description
Modern Combat 5: Blackout, released on PC, Switch, etc., is a first-person shooter set in modern times. The production was developed by Gameloft studio, which is also responsible for the previous four parts of the series. The title belongs to the premium category. This means that we pay once and get access to the entire content, and the authors haven't ad any, even optional, microtransactions.
Plot
In Modern Combat 5: Blackout's campaign, we play the role of Caydan Phoenix, a soldier of the special unit AFTER, who played a supporting role in the previous installment of the series. The story begins with a terrorist attack in Venice. It soon turns out that the whole action is just to divert the attention of intelligence agencies from the terrorists' real goal.
Mechanics
As befits a traditional FPS, Modern Combat 5: Blackout focuses on dynamic firefights. The maps have been densely filled with enemies and in most missions, our task is to eliminate them all. Modern Combat 5: Blackout offers a single-player campaign with six chapters located around the globe and densely filled with cut-scenes. The fun is additionally enriched by numerous special sections, during which we control drones or use a cannon mounted in a helicopter. For the first time in the history of the series, we are accompanied by allies controlled by artificial intelligence - not only do they support the player during the battles, but they can resurrect him once during every mission.
The authors put a lot of effort into developing the campaign, but the core of the game remains the multiplayer mode. Players can choose between several classes and then adapt them to their own gameplay style thanks to the development system. There are many modes, maps, and weapons available, and the lack of microtransactions means that only skills, not your money, determine your victories.
