Minecraft: Story Mode – A Telltale Games Series – Season 2 for PC, PS4 and etc. is a sequel to the 2015 episodic adventure game Minecraft: Story Mode – A Telltale Games Series. It was developed by Telltale Games, a studio that for years have been creating licensed adventure games such as The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series and Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series.

Plot

After the events of the first game, the crew begins to fall out as a result of too many duties and lack of time for new adventures. One day, Jesse gets into trouble. Not only does he find a mysterious cursed glove, but also gets his hand stuck in it. This starts a completely new adventure that will take us to the farthest parts of the world.

Mechanics

Just like other games from Telltale, Minecraft: Story Mode – A Telltale Games Series – Season 2 for PC, PS4 and etc. is a rather simple adventure game where story plays the most important role. We influence it by making decisions in crucial moments. Even though gameplay focuses on following the adventures of our heroes, we will also take part in various minigames, just like in the first season.

One of the newest introductions to the game that was not present in season one are the so-called observers, people who use a special mobile app. A host (player) has to start a Crowd Play session. Then, observers from all around the world vote for the choices the hosting player has to make and, by doing so, influence the story. It is possible to make certain changes that will allow the player to still make their own decisions and use the observer votes only as guidelines.

Actors like Patton Oswalt (The King of Queens), Catherine Taber (voice of Padme Amidala in Star Wars: The Clone Wars), Ashley Johnson (Ellie from The Last of Us), and Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights) voiced characters in the game.
