An expansion for the game Middle-earth: Shadow of War, in which you play as Eltariel, an elite assassin, who hunts creatures corrupted by the Ring of Power. The new protagonist uses new equipment and battle abilities, and her weapons of choice are two elvish blades and the Light of Galadriel.

Blade of Galadriel for PC, PS4 and XONE is an expansion for Middle-earth: Shadow of War. It was developed by the creators of the core game, Monolith Productions.

Plot

The protagonist of Middle-earth: Shadow of War – Blade of Galadriel is Eltariel, an elite assassin, who appeared previously in the main quest featuring Talion and Celebrimbor. She hunts creatures corrupted by the Ring of Power, such as the Nazgul. During the game, she can learn more about the Ringwraiths and discover their past.

Mechanics

Middle-earth: Shadow of War – Blade of Galadriel features no large changes to the mechanics known from the core game. The gameplay consists mostly of completing quests, exploring the world, and fighting enemies, which are still affected by the Nemezis system. In battle, Eltariel uses two elvish blades and the Light of Galadriel, as well as unique battle abilities and equipment.

It's worth noting that with this DLC you can finish the main quest as Eltariel. Moreover, the expansion adds eight legendary orcs, which can join you and help you during the main questline.

Technical aspects

Middle-earth: Shadow of War – Blade of Galadriel is not a standalone expansion and requires the core game to run. The DLC can be bought separately or as a part of the season pass.
