Developed exclusively for PlayStation 3 users, this online action game is a side-scrolling installment in the popular stealth series by Hideo Kojimi and Konami. The gameplay concept is a development of the online game idea started in Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence, and the game boils down to competition (individual or team) up to 16 people in one of several available game modes.

Metal Gear Online Description
Metal Gear Online enables up to 16 players to compete online using the game mechanics and fictional world of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.
・The new SOP System gives the player an instant grasp of their teammates' locations, status, and current opponents, creating a bond between team members not found in other online games.
・A full-featured Training Mode—including Combat Training, where experienced players can provide direct guidance to newcomers—makes it easy for beginners to get into the game, while the Auto-Matching system pits combatants of the same skill level against each other.
・Using built-in email functionality and community support pages, players can communicate with others they’ve played with.
・Expansion Packs available for purchase at the MGO Shop will add features like new stages and characters, keeping the game fresh and exciting.
