Besiege

Medieval Machines Builder is a simulation game which, as the title suggests, lets us create medieval siege machines. It was co-developed by FreeMind and Solverto.

Plot

Medieval Machines Builder is set in the medieval age. We play as a young ballistic engineer employed by the king. We must construct numerous, various siege machines to help our ruler prevail in wars and prove ourselves worthy of our position

Mechanics

Medieval Machines Builder is a first-person game (FPP). It revolves around completing missions and creating machines. We'll construct catapults, trebuchets, ballistae, battering rams and many others.

As one might guess, creating siege equipment is no easy task. We need resources, especially wood, stone and rope. We also need various smithing, foresting and carpenting tools; the more complex a machine is, the more specialized equipment we'll need to build it.

Although we can acquire resources on our own and craft tools outselves, oftentimes it's better to just buy them from merchants. To make purchases we need gold, acquired by completing assignments and trading.

While creating machines we must manually set up and arrange their individual components, then test them out when they're ready. The best possible testing ground is, of course, a real battlefield, therefore we can manually operate our creations, destroying enemy fortifications.

Technical aspects

Medieval Machines Builder features rather decent visuals. The detailed siege machines may be especially appealing.
