Mass Effect Galaxy is an action game with RPG elements designed for owners of mobile devices, embedded in the universe of the best-selling Mass Effect game from 2007. The title is a kind of bridge between the first and second part of the cycle and was prepared by the creators of the original - BioWare studio, previously known mainly due to the excellent cRPG series: Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights.

The story of the game tells the adventures of Jacob Taylor, a super-soldier and former Covenant army agent endowed with powerful biotic powers. He is called upon by the Citadel Council, which fears the threat from Batarian terrorists who wish to boycott the peace talks currently under way. To thwart their plans, Tylor must meet a mysterious woman named Miranda Lawson, who has information about terrorist activities. The clues thus obtained lead to the Turanian arms dealer, the Batarian-controlled planet Bekke and the Ahn'Kedar Orbital Station.

The game is divided into two main parts. During Taylor's missions, the game resembles classic two-dimensional shoot up games, while the action is observed in a top-down perspective typical of the genre. During combat, Jacob automatically fires at rivals, and the player's role is to point the hero to the next targets. In addition, we can use one of the three available biotic powers. Three additional buttons will be used to freeze enemies, damage their defensive shields and launch a powerful attack using a rocket launcher. During the breaks between missions, we participate in fictional scenes during which we talk to key characters and, just like in the home game, we make choices that affect the hero's reputation.

In the visual layer of Mass Effect Galaxy, the iOS version also features two different styles. The arcade part resembles the classic two-dimensional shooters like Alien Breed. In the fictional part of the action is shown from the perspective of a third person, while the graphics are made in a classic cartoon-comic style. We also listen to full acting dubbing.
