Marvel End Time Arena is a MOBA game, the story of which is based on the universe of Marvel comics. The game presents an apocalyptic vision of colliding dimensions, which causes a great war between heroes from various corners of the multiverse. The game was developed by the Korean studio Smilegate.

Marvel End Time Arena is an online MOBA game strongly inspired by other titles in the genre. The teams of a few players are facing each other on closed maps. The main objective during each battle is to develop the character as efficiently as possible and to destroy the main base of the opposing team.

Plot

Marvel End Time Arena tells the story of parallel dimensions, the collision of which threatens the whole universe. Heroes who support S.H.I.E.L.D., a government organization that is protecting the planet, are encountering their counterparts from other dimensions. Numerous sides of the conflict are fighting for the survival of their own world. Powerful villains from Marvel comics are trying to profit from the whole conflict. For unknown reasons, time/space tunnels were opened across the whole universe and transformed distant planets into battlefields.

Mechanics

Similarly to traditional MOBA games, the gameplay in Marvel End Time Arena is focused on team battles fought on closed arenas. During these fights, the players are developing their characters like in role-playing games. The action is presented from an isometric perspective and the characters are controlled with a mouse and a keyboard. The battles have a strategic layer. The main task of the players is to defend their fortifications and to destroy the enemy base. Many non-playable characters are also participating in combat, constantly attacking the fortifications of their enemies.

The players can choose from a few dozens of recognizable characters, including heroes and villains. Among them, there are Spider-Man, Ironman, Hulk, Venom, and Captain America. In addition to developing the character during the match, the players can improve their statistics with special crystals like in League of Legends. This permanently strengthens the characters and provides an advantage since the beginning of each match.

Game modes

Marvel End Time Arena is focused on PvP battles that are the foundation for e-sport matches. The competitive play is possible on one of the available maps. Battles are fought by teams of three, five, or seven players – it depends on the map. The game also features an option to play against bots that replace real players.

Technical aspects

The game features high-quality graphics and sounds. The character models and surroundings are detailed. Cel-shading technology makes the textures look more like a comic.
