A card game under the license of Marvel's comic universe, which features a group of characters and villains known from comics, films, and cartoons (including Iron Man, Loki, Captain America, Black Panther, Ghost Rider, and many, many others). The gameplay refers to the hit Hearthstone, but the creators diversified the fun with a few of their own ideas.
Marvel Battle Lines is a card game based on the license of the Marvel comic book universe. While building our deck, we choose various superheroes and superhumans (including Thanos, Hulk, Iron Man, Loki, Captain America, Black Panther, Ghost Rider, and many, many others). Nexon is responsible for the creation of this title.
Plot
The Tesseract has shattered, bringing horrible chaos to the Marvel universe. Heroes and villains must join forces to collect fragments of the artifact and restore balance in the universe.
Mechanics
Marvel Battle Lines starts with composing a deck of cards - we can choose from a huge selection of characters and villains known from Marvel's comic books, films, and cartoons. The gameplay itself resembles titles such as Hearthstone or Warhammer: Age of Sigmar - Champions. Our task is to take health away from the opponent by dealing damage to the exposed characters (each of them has his or her own special abilities).
What distinguishes Marvel Battle Lines from similar games is the fact that the number of cards that can be placed on the table is limited. The game space consists of 12 identical fields, which has an impact on the range of tactical possibilities offered by this title - the game forces us to carefully consider the decision to play each of the cards we have in our possession. Additionally, some effects may affect a specific area of the board.
Game modes
Marvel Battle Lines offers only multiplayer mode.
Technical aspects
The graphic design of the discussed production does not differ from the genre standards. The interface is clear and the graphic style of the cards is reminiscent of comic book originals. They are colorful, nicely designed and will undoubtedly find a fan or two.
