Mario Party: Star Rush for 3DS is an arcade game by Nintendo, the producer and publisher of such franchises as Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, and Star Fox.

Mechanics

Mario Party: Star Rush is a virtual version of a board game. The game focuses on the multiplayer mode for up to four players. The players take on the roles of colorful mushrooms and throw a virtual die to determine how far will they move. That's how you travel through locations, trying to gather the eponymous stars and find new friends, such as Mario, Peach, and Donkey Kong. Those friends help you in overcoming challenges and obstacles, which you encounter during your adventures. Depending on the chosen game mode, in Mario Party: Star Rush you either play against other players, or cooperate with them to beat powerful boss enemies.

Technical aspects

Like other Mario games, Mario Party: Star Rush for 3DS features colorful 3D visuals, in the style beloved by the series' fans. The game is very good for a production for a handheld device—the character models are detailed, the animation is neat, and the boards differ from each other greatly.
