Rayman 3D is a Nintendo 3DS conversion of Rayman 2: The Great Escape, a platformer, well-known to Dreamcast and PC players. The company responsible for its development is Ubisoft.

The story of the game focuses on Rayman, an unusual character designed by a French visionary Michel Ancel. We meet the protagonist at the time when his world gets attacked by merciless pirates. Their goal is to capture Rayman’s friends – who apparently are perfectly suited for an intergalactic circus. Trapped on board of a pirate ship and stripped of his powers, Rayman manages to break free. He decides to defeat the invaders and release all imprisoned friends.

Together with Rayman the player takes part in an extraordinary journey, during which the peculiar hero regains his magical powers. The game’s main objective is to find four mysterious Masks of Polokus, which will enable Rayman to finally defeat the band of mechanical pirates. However, they are not the only opponents on his way. He also encounters running rockets, zombie chickens, piranhas, and tough bosses at the end of each level.

Rayman 3D is an improved version of a hit released at the turn of 1999 and 2000. It offers full support for 3D technology and also uses the console touch screen for activation of special powers and menu navigation.
