Mechanics

Gameplay in Mario Party 10 for WiiU focuses on taking part in various minigames and, for the first time in the series’ history, we can play as Bowser. The game focuses mostly on multiplayer matches for up to five players (Bowser Party mode). One of the players controls Bowser with Wii U GamePad and the remaing four players control their characters with Wii Remotes. Their goal is to avoid traps and unpleasant surprises set up by Bowser, who tries his best to get rid of the unwelcome guests. He can, for example, breathe fire, shoot fireballs from his mouth, or simply catch one of the players. The person who manages to reach the finish line without loosing all of their health points wins. Or Bowser, if he manages to get rid of them just in time.
