DVS Gaming: 8 / 10 by J.R. Sommerfeldt
As of now, I have logged in a little over 20 hours into this game and I plan on putting in much more. It is a fun game plays quite a bit like the original while still presenting players with a fresh experience as a standalone title. The maps and gameplay can be a little restrictive, but all of that is balanced out by the fast-paced gameplay and fun platforming mechanics.
GameSkinny: 8 / 10 by Ashley Gill
MapleStory 2 is far from a hardcore game, but it's got too much to it to ignore if you're in the mood for a softer MMORPG experience.

Much like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with the crust cut off, it's hard to feel anything too strongly about MapleStory 2.

MapleStory 2 Description
MapleStory 2 is the sequel to the popular, free-to-play MMORPG from 2003, which has been designed as standalone title, largely unrelated to its archetype and will be developed simultaneously to the older production. The Nexon company from Korea is responsible for the creation of the game.
The action of MapleStory 2 takes place in a fantasy land full of magic and monsters. The players will find themselves adventuring within the same universe as in the previous installment; however, the story will develop in a much earlier period. The developers have taken their chance to greatly change the world, which now offers plenty of new locations and enemies.
In spite of all the major tweaks, the basic concept of the gameplay remains largely unaltered. The players once again step into the shoes of the adventures to travel throughout the world, complete various quests, develop their abilities and skills, acquire better equipment and also participate in PvP events.
The biggest changes have been made to the graphics of MapleStory. The developers have put aside the side scrolling 2D look in favor of full 3D graphics in an isometric projection; however, the title will still feature a very similar art style with plenty of rich and vibrant colors.
