MADiSON is a FPP adventure game with horror atmosphere. The player explores a mansion tormented by a vicious demon and solves logic puzzles.
MADiSON is a first-person psychological horror adventure game. The project was developed by Bloodius Games studio, and one of the inspirations of the authors was PT, the cult demo of already deleted Silent Hills.
Plot
Player takes on the role of a man named Luca who wakes up with his hands covered in blood in a dark room in a large mansion. He soon discovers that he has become a victim of a vicious demon named MADiSON, who has forced him to perform the next stage of a bloody ritual that began decades ago.
Luca will have to complete the ceremony and survive the demon's torture. By the way, he will learn the history of previous victims of this creature.
Game mechanics
MADiSON is an adventure game, in which we observe the events from first person perspective. We explore locations, collect items, interact with objects in the environment and solve puzzles. All this we have to do carefully so as not to attract the demon's attention.
We spend most of the time in a dark mansion. However, the demon's tortures, when he gets us, affect Luca's perception of reality, allowing us to move to other locations and learn related stories. Such sequences, however, are dangerous for the protagonist and the player can interrupt them by using the instant camera (i.e. printing a copy of the photo right after it is taken), allowing us to see the real surroundings of the character.
An additional attraction is that many events are activated randomly. Also, the puzzles change all the time. Thanks to that we can play the game many times without feeling bored.
Game modes
Game offers only single player mode.
Technical aspects
MADiSON features attractive 3D graphics built on Unreal Engine, which effectively creates the atmosphere of horror.

IGN: 7 / 10 by Tristan Ogilvie
Madison is a creepy crawl through a twisted haunted house with enough genuine out-of-your-seat scares to leave you shaken like a Polaroid picture.
Game Informer: 7.2 / 10 by Marcus Stewart
Despite my misgivings, Madison still offers a respectable evening of frights and is worth a look for fans of psychological horror. It succeeds in building tension and puzzle variety, stumbling when it becomes obsessed with bamboozling players with head-tilting solutions and stopping their hearts with lame jump scares. But when the game hits right, you’ll be glad no one caught the look on your face.
COGconnected: 75 / 100 by Lou Sytsma
MADiSON is a solid, polished indie horror game. It struggles with pacing because of the mechanics involved with the puzzles. For collectors and completionists, you may find some replay value as you can collect camera skins and special photos.
