Mad Games Tycoon 2 is the second part of the strategic series, in which we are the head of the development team responsible for game and console production. The game was developed by independent studio Eggcode.

Mad Games Tycoon 2 is an economic strategy created by the independent Eggode studio, the authors of the first part from 2016. The game before the premiere appeared in early access on the Steam platform.

Plot

The action of the game begins in 1976, when we start our career in the entertainment industry. We play the role of a developer who is setting up his own console and video game production studio. The main goal is to turn a garage company into a real giant in the industry.

Mechanics

The gameplay at Mad Games Tycoon 2 starts with the establishment of a small, not very impressive development studio with limited possibilities. These successes are gradually increasing, and the funds gained can be used to expand offices, improve working conditions, set up production facilities and server rooms, hire more experienced staff, develop new technologies and graphics engines and create increasingly complex games (both independently and in cooperation with large publishers). Players can also design consoles that will set new standards in the industry.

At first we create text games, but over time we decide on an increasing number of components - not only the theme, genre and target hardware platform, but also the storyline, gameplay mechanics and smaller aspects such as difficulty level, which can significantly affect title reception and sales. To increase your chance of success, you can either plan your marketing campaigns or obtain a well-known license from external companies that will attract new customers. When developing games or equipment you also have to be careful about your budget.

Technical aspects

The graphic design in Mad Games Tycoon 2 is much more detailed than in the previous version. It is fully three-dimensional and quite "ductile". During work you can see not only the whole office, but also the surrounding area. The devs have also developed a quite simple, user-friendly interface.
